AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 42-4-105, relative to metropolitan airport authorities.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 42-4-105, is amended by inserting the language "and in subdivision (a)(2)(C)" between the language "(a)(2)(B)" and the punctuation ",".

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 42-4-105(a)(2), is amended by adding the following as a new subdivision (C):

(C) Four (4) seats on the governing body of the authority of an airport, which has regularly scheduled commercial passenger service, located in a county other than the county where the creating municipality is located, shall be filled by persons of good standing and reputation in one (1) of the following five (5) fields: engineering, law, industry, commerce and finance.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
