AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2, Chapter 10, relative to campaign financial disclosure reports.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-10-105(c)(5), is amended by deleting from the first sentence the language "on February 1" and substituting instead the language "by January 31".

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-10-105(c)(5), is further amended by adding the following language between the first and second sentences:

If January 31^st falls on a Saturday, a Sunday, or a legal holiday, the provisions of §1-3-102 shall apply.

SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-10-105(c)(5), is amended by deleting the second sentence and substituting instead the following:

The ending date of a reporting period for such a filing is December 31 of the year preceding the filing.

SECTION 4. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-10-113, is amended by adding the following language at the end of the section:

If January 31^st falls on a Saturday, a Sunday, or a legal holiday, the provisions of §1-3-102 shall apply.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect upon becoming law, the public welfare requiring it.
