AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 50, Part 7, relative to the Watkins Institute.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-50-701, is amended in subsection (f) by adding the following:

In exercising their discretion, the commissioners may sell or exchange any real or personal property belonging to the institute or held in trust by the State of Tennessee for the institute, and may construct or lease property as needed for the purposes of the institute.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
