AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 37-1-134, relative to the transfer of certain delinquent juveniles to criminal court for disposition as an adult.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 37-1-134, is amended by adding the following new subpart to subsection (b):

( ) Whether the child's conduct would be a criminal gang offense, as defined in Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 40-35-121, if committed by an adult;

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, the public welfare requiring it.
