AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-6-3001, relative to school attendance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-6-3001(c)(1), is amended by deleting the word "person" and by substituting instead the words "legal custodian".

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, the public welfare requiring it.
