AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 68, Chapter 1, relative to the public health council.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-220(a), is amended by deleting item (8) in its entirety.

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-222(a), is amended by adding the following as a new item thereto:

( ) Public health council, created by Section 68-1-501;

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, the public welfare requiring it.
