AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 33, Chapter 1, relative to the Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, Board of Trustees.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-219(a), is amended by deleting item (26) in its entirety.

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-29-221(a), is amended by adding a new item thereto, as follows:

( ) Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, Board of Trustees, created by Section 33-1-301;

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, the public welfare requiring it.
