AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, 12-2-112 relative to funds collected from the lease of surplus state real property.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated 12-2-112(a) is amended by adding the following language as a new subsection:

( ) Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, any funds collected from the lease of surplus state real property for communications relay apparatus or antennae sites that would otherwise be paid into the general fund of the state pursuant to subsection (a)(7) shall be specifically earmarked for maintenance of state park facilities, including furniture, fixtures and equipment. Any such funds that are unencumbered or unexpended at the end of any fiscal year shall not revert to the state'' general fund, but shall be carried forward until expended for the purposes stated in this section.

SECTION 2 This act shall take effect upon becoming law, the public welfare requiring it.
