AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62 and Title 63, relative to certification and licensure of certain occupations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, is amended by adding the following as a new chapter thereto:

Section ___. Each board, commission, agency or other governmental entity created pursuant to this title shall notify each applicant for a license, certification or registration from such board, commission, agency or other governmental entity where to obtain a copy of any statutes and rules and regulations setting forth the prerequisites for such license, certification or registration and shall, upon request, make available to the applicant a copy of such statutes and rules and regulations.

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63, is amended by adding the following as a new chapter thereto:

Section ___. Each board, commission, committee, agency or other governmental entity created pursuant to this title shall notify each applicant for a license, certification or registration from such board, commission, committee, agency or other governmental entity where to obtain a copy of any statutes and rules and regulations setting forth the prerequisites for such license, certification or registration and shall, upon request, make available to the applicant a copy of such statutes and rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, is amended by adding the following as a new chapter thereto:

Section ___. All members of any board, commission, or council which licenses, certifies or regulates any profession or occupation shall, during the time of their respective appointments, be citizens of the State of Tennessee. The appointment of any member of any board, commission, or council which licenses or certifies any profession or occupation shall terminate when Tennessee is no longer the domicile of such member.

SECTION 4. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63, is amended by adding the following as a new chapter thereto:

Section ___. All members of any board, commission, or council which licenses, certifies, or regulates any profession or occupation shall, during the time of their respective appointments, be citizens of the State of Tennessee. The appointment of any member of any board, commission, or council which licenses or certifies any profession or occupation shall terminate when Tennessee is no longer the domicile of such member.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, the public welfare requiring it.
