AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-15-109(b), relative to extending the Select Oversight Committee on Corrections.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-15-109(b), is amended by deleting from the first sentence the language "1997" and substituting instead the language "2001".

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
