AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 65-35-101, Section 65-35-102 and Section 65-35-103, relative to interference with sanitary sewers and theft of sanitary sewer services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 65-35-101(4), is amended by inserting the language "sanitary sewer service," between the language "water," and "telephone service".

SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 65-35-102(1)(B), is amended by deleting the language "or water" and replacing it with the language ", sanitary sewer, or water,".

SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 65-35-102(3), is amended by deleting the word "water" wherever it appears in the subdivision and replacing it with "sanitary sewer, water,".

SECTION 4. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 65-35-102(5), is amended by deleting the words "or water" wherever they appear in the entire subdivision and replacing them with ", sanitary sewer service, or water" and by deleting the words "water diversion" and replacing them with "water diversion, sanitary sewer service diversion,".

SECTION 5. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 65-35-103(a), is amended by deleting the words "or water" wherever they appear in the subsection and replacing them with ", sanitary sewer, or water".

SECTION 6. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
