AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-6-103(a)(3)(E), relative to the apportionment of a percentage of the municipal share of state sales tax revenues to the University of Tennessee Municipal Technical Advisory Service.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-6-103(a)(3)(E), is amended by deleting the period at the end of the first sentence and adding the following language:

prior to July 1, 1997; eighty-five hundredths percent (0.85%) of the municipalities' monthly allocation during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998; ninety-five hundredths percent (0.95%) of the municipalities' monthly allocation during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1999; and one percent (1.0%) of the municipalities' monthly allocation thereafter.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
