Substituted for: House Bill No. 1379

AN ACT To amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 1, relative to funding for technology equipment and infrastructure.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The State Board of Education is requested to study funding for the acquisition of technology equipment and the cost of infrastructure improvements to school buildings which are necessary to accommodate such equipment, and whether such funding needs are adequately addressed in the basic education program.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
