AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 4, relative to controlled substances.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-412, is amended by deleting subsection (f)(1) and substituting instead the following:

(1) Pentazocine;

(2) Gamma hydroxybutyric acid;

(3) Sodium oxybate; or

(4) Gamma hydroxybutyrate sodium.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997, the public welfare requiring it.
