AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 6, Chapter 56, relative to municipal audits.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 6-56-104, is amended by adding the following new subsection:

(c) The municipality shall place a copy of the result of each audit in the main branch of the public library located within the boundaries of the municipality. A municipality that permits access to public information through the Internet may also place a copy on the municipality's homepage.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
