AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 2, Chapter 10, relative to campaign finance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 2-10-110, is amended by adding the following new subsection:

( ) For any civil penalty levied by the registry against a multicandidate political campaign committee under this section or Tennessee Code Annotated, §2-10-308, the Treasurer of such committee is personally liable for such penalty.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it and shall apply to any conduct that occurs on or after such date leading to the imposition of a penalty.
